H, Steve Hogarth lead singer of Marillion, started the H Natural shows several years ago as an experiment basically.  Would people show up to see the lead singer of Marillion tinker with a keyboard , tell stories and sing whatever he wanted to sing?

John Wetton – Battle Lines Review

Sadly this review comes a couple of days after John Wetton passed away as a result of cancer.

Originally released in Japan in 1994 under the title “Voicemail”, it was repackaged for the rest of the world in 1995 as “Battle Lines”.  This was Wetton’s second solo album, and the first since leaving Asia in 1990.  The sound further moved Wetton away from the progressive rock pedigree he had while a member of King Crimson, during the mid 70s, and even further toward the commercial AOR sound that Asia was moving towards through the 80s.

Kansas – The Prelude Implicit Review

From the moment the drums kick in on opening song ‘With This Heart’ I thought “ok , good start!”.  Not releasing an album of all new material since 2000’s ‘Somewhere To Elsewhere’, Kansas was in a recording limbo.  Interviews have pointed the finger at former lead vocalist Steve Walsh as the barrier to not only changing the live setlist but also new recordings. With Walsh retiring in 2014 and Kansas reappearing a scant three weeks later with their new lineup and performing songs they hadn’t played live in years, fans knew something could be brewing.
